Under-Stairs Storage Organization | Rochester, MN

The Challenge

This under-stairs area had become a crowded drop zone for a wide mix of items — luggage, toys, seasonal pieces, and miscellaneous storage — making it difficult to access and easy for things to pile up.

The Approach

We cleared the space completely and grouped items by category, focusing on what's actually stored here long-term. Priority was given to accessibility and visibility, especially given the angled ceiling and limited headroom. Existing containers were reused where possible to keep the system simple and sustainable.

The Result

The space is now clean, open, and intentionally organized, with clear zones that make items easy to find and put away. What was once a frustrating storage area is now functional, calm, and much easier to maintain.
