Home Office Organizing | Rochester, MN
The Challenge
This Rochester home office had become crowded and difficult to navigate. Paper accumulated on the desk surface, cords were visible and unmanaged, and storage pieces were not functioning cohesively. The result was visual overwhelm and reduced workspace efficiency. The goal was to create a simplified, functional office environment that supported focus and productivity.
The Approach
We began by clearing the desk surface and sorting paper into actionable categories.
From there, we:
• Reduced and consolidated paperwork
• Created a contained paper system
• Simplified desktop items to essentials only
• Improved cable management
• Reset storage pieces to function intentionally
• Created better floor clearance around the workspace
Every decision focused on reducing friction and improving daily workflow.
The Result
*The office now supports productivity with significantly less visual distraction. The desk surface is usable. Paper has a defined system. Cables are managed. Movement within the room feels easier and more intentional. This reset created a workspace designed for focus — not overwhelm.
*After images were not captured at the completion of this project.
If your home office feels cluttered or distracting, we can build systems that support your workflow.
