Hallway Linen Closet reDO | Rochester, MN
The Challenge
This hallway linen closet had gradually become overfilled and difficult to manage. Towels, bedding, and miscellaneous linens were stacked tightly together, making it hard to quickly find what was needed and even harder to keep the space tidy. The goal was to create a simple, functional system that made everyday access easier and maintenance realistic.
The Approach
We removed everything from the closet, sorted items by category, and edited out excess and duplicates. Linens were refolded consistently and grouped by type and size to improve visibility and accessibility. Shelves were reset with intentional spacing to prevent overcrowding and to make the system easy to maintain over time. The focus was clarity, accessibility, and sustainability — not perfection.
The Result
The linen closet is now calm, organized, and easy to use. Towels and bedding are neatly grouped, shelves are no longer overcrowded, and the space can be maintained with minimal effort. What was once a frustrating storage area is now a simple, functional system that supports daily routines.
