Living Room Furniture & Layout Refresh | Rochester, MN

The Challenge

This living room had beautiful built-ins and a strong architectural foundation, but the furniture layout and overall styling weren’t fully supporting how the space was being used. The seating arrangement lacked cohesion, and the room felt slightly disconnected.

The Approach

In this session, we focused on reworking the furniture layout, rug placement, lighting, and styling. We repositioned seating to better anchor the room, adjusted scale and spacing for improved flow, and refined the placement of side tables, lamps, and accents to create warmth and balance.

The Result

A comfortable, cohesive living room with improved flow and a clearly defined seating area. The space now feels intentional, welcoming, and supportive of everyday living — with a strong foundation in place for continued refinement.

Note: Built-ins, bookshelves, and the mantel were not part of this session and remain unchanged.
