Lower Level Media Room & Office Organization | Rochester, MN

The Challenge

This lower level had evolved into a true multi-purpose space — media room, homework zone, home office, fitness area, and general storage. While it offered generous square footage, the layout lacked clear zones, and everyday items were beginning to compete for space. Visual clutter and unfinished surfaces made the room feel busier than it needed to be.

The Approach

We edited unnecessary items, redefined functional zones, and created clear boundaries for each use of the room. The media area was reset for comfort and flow, the desk zone was simplified and streamlined, and storage pieces were reorganized to better support daily routines. Our focus was on improving usability while maintaining warmth and livability.

The Result

A cohesive lower level that feels calm, functional, and easy to maintain. The media room now invites relaxation, the office area supports productivity, and the entire space works together instead of competing for attention. What once felt crowded now feels intentional and ready to be enjoyed.
