Garage Entry/Laundry Room & Guest Bath Refresh | Rochester, MN
The Challenge
This patio home’s garage entry and laundry area serve as a primary drop zone and utility space. Over time, coats, cleaning products, tools, and everyday items had accumulated, leaving surfaces crowded and cabinets difficult to maintain. The adjacent guest bathroom felt similarly tight, with countertops holding excess items and limited visual breathing room.
The Approach
We fully edited each space before reorganizing. Laundry cabinets were cleared and reassigned with defined categories. Cleaning products were consolidated, duplicates removed, and vertical storage maximized. The narrow shelving unit was simplified to hold only purposeful items. In the guest bath, countertops were cleared, under-sink storage refined, and styling intentionally minimized to create a lighter, more open feel.
The Result
Both spaces now feel calm, functional, and easy to maintain. Surfaces are clear. Cabinets close easily. Everyday items are accessible without visual clutter. What once felt cramped and overfilled now supports daily routines with clarity and simplicity.
